I hear so many business owners declare, "I need someone to design a logo," but a brand is so much more. You need a brand - a brand positioning, a brand personality, brand values, a brand voice, and brand colors. And yes, at that point, a brand identity including a logo or brand mark. 

Strategy is at the core of what I do. I start all my projects with strategy and then move into each element, depending on your particular needs.

NAMING

We’ll establish a brand name that’s distinctive, true to your brand strategy, appropriate, attractive, and accessible. Includes a preliminary trademark and domain name availability search. You'll work with your own attorney to determine legal availability. 

 

MARKET RESEARCH

Your brand will mean more and make a bigger impact if it's in tune with insights directly from your ideal clients. Depending on your specific information gap, we'll determine if you need a survey or interviews and whether we need to connect with current clients or potential clients.

Q1. WHAT TYPE OF CLIENTS DO YOU WORK WITH?

I typically work with smaller businesses and organizations who need professional work but don't yet have the budget for a full-service agency. 165 precent is a great match for interior designers, restuarants, boutiques, healthcare organizations, business service providers, real estate professionals, artists, photographers and more. Don't hesitate to reach out to see if we're a match.

Q2. HOW DO WE GET STARTED?

Because every business is different, I like to schedule a 30-minute consultation to hear about your business and marketing needs. I’ll then put together a custom proposal so that you’ll know the exact process and investment up front. With a signed contract and 50% deposit, we’ll schedule your project into our work flow.

Q3. WHAT DO I RECEIVE AT THE END OF MY BRAND PROJECT?

My goal is that you’ll have everything you need to move forward with your new brand. You’ll receive an electronic Brand Book that’ll outline your complete brand strategy, including your brand positioning, personality and values, as well as your Brand Identity package, including how to use your logo, font system, and colors. It'll be your go-to guide on how to present and talk about your business. You’ll also receive all the logo files you’ll need, including the native Illustrator files as well as PNG and JPEG files in various sizes.

Q4. ARE YOUR BRAND IDENTITIES CUSTOM OR DO YOU USE TEMPLATES?

They are all custom and based on your specific brand strategy. I do not purchase or use brand identity or logo templates from websites such as Creative Market. While all our logos are designed from scratch, we do encourage our clients to work with a lawyer to determine legal availability. Some clients choose to work with a lawyer and pursue legal trademark status, and others do not.

Q5. DO YOU OFFER BRANDING CONSULTATIONS IF I DON'T NEED A NEW BRAND?

Yes, absolutely. If you have branding questions but don't need a new or refreshed brand, you might be interested in scheduling a Clarity Hour.

Because every business’s branding needs are different, let’s schedule a consultation to chat about what you need and we can put together a custom proposal for you. But you want to know something to get an idea if you’re in the right place or not, right? To give you a general idea, small brand refresh projects start at $3,000.

Q7. HOW LONG DOES A BRANDING PROJECT TAKE?

Branding projects can take anywhere from 3 weeks to 3+ months. The variation depends on your internal needs, such as the number of decision makers, as well as needed add-ons, such as naming and market research.
